The Criminal Assets Bureau conducted a search operation in Counties Dublin, Kildare and Laois today, Friday 29 April 2022.
The search operation was conducted by Bureau Officers, supported by the Emergency Response Unit, Ronanstown and Lucan District Detective Units, Naas District Detective Unit and the Customs Dog Unit.
The operation involved searches at ten separate locations consisting of four residential addresses, four business addresses, including a licensed premises and two professional searches. This morning’s operation was conducted as part of an on-going CAB investigation into businesses being used by Organised Crime Gangs to launder the proceeds of criminal activity.
CAB also seized the following:
  • One Hublot Watch
  • One Rolex Watch
  • One Breitling Watch
  • Designer clothing
  • Designer handbags
  • Assorted sums of cash at each of the search sites totalling €22,000
  • Documents, records, hard drives and electronic devices
This morning’s operation targeted the commercial activities of a significant West Dublin Organised Crime Gang involved in drug trafficking and money laundering. Today’s action is noteworthy in the context of an on-going proceeds of crime investigation, targeting the assets and commercial interests of key individuals suspected of participating in and directing organised criminality.
