CAB search in Kildare, Kilkenny and Wexford

The Criminal Assets Bureau conducted a search operation in the Counties Kildare, Kilkenny and Wexford this morning, Wednesday, 6 April 2022.

The operation was conducted by Bureau Officers, supported by the Emergency Response Unit, Naas District Detective Unit, Naas Drug Unit and the Customs Dog Unit and involved searches at six separate locations, resulting in the seizure of the following assets:

• A BMW X5, 211 Registration.
• A BMW Motorcycle, 151 Registration
• A Yamaha Motorcycle, 141 Registration.
• Cash in the amount of €13,500.
• 12 watches including 6 Rolex watches, 2 Audemars Piguet watches and 2 Cartier watches.
• A large number of electronic devices, along with hard drives and documentation.

This morning’s search operation was conducted in the context of an on-going CAB proceeds of crime investigation targeting assets linked to a significant drug trafficker and his associates residing in the Kildare area.

This case was referred to the Bureau by a Divisional Assets Profiler working in the Naas Garda District and reflects the continued importance of the Asset Profiler Network in identifying CAB Targets nationwide.
