The Criminal Assets Bureau, with the assistance of local Gardaí in Blanchardstown and Bray, conducted a search operation this morning, Friday the 6th of December 2019.

Five searches were conducted, One residential dwelling in Dublin 15, two business premises – one in Dublin 15 and one in Co. Wicklow, and two professional premises – one in Dublin 15 and one in Dublin 2 (Accountants & Estate Agent).

The following was seized:

  • Approximately €500 of cocaine
  • Cash to the value of approximately £12,00
  • Cash to the value of approximately €10,000
  • A Hublot Watch
  • A 131 Audi A5 motorcar
  • A 142 Mercedes C Class
  • Financial documents
  • Electronic devices.

In addition to the items seized, in excess of €190,000 held in financial accounts was restrained on foot of Orders granted pursuant to Section 17 (2) of the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing) Act 2010.

All searches were conducted under CAB Warrants, Section 14 of the Criminal Assets Bureau Act, 1996 as amended.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The Bureau investigation is focused on an individual who is a suspected member of an Albanian Organised Crime Gang involved in the sale and supply of controlled drugs and people smuggling and trafficking.
